Trading journal alternatives for prop firm traders
Thinking of switching journals, or choosing your first one for a prop firm evaluation? Here's how TradeHarbor compares with TradeZella, Tradervue, Edgewonk and TraderSync on what matters to futures prop traders: price, a free plan, prop firm rules and pass odds.
We make TradeHarbor, so read this with that in mind. Every fact about another journal links to that company's own website, and each comparison says where the other journal is stronger. Sources

Side-by-side comparisons
Trading journal comparisons: common questions
Is there a free trading journal for prop firm traders?
TradeHarbor's free plan has no time limit and covers one active account with unlimited trades, CSV import, prop firm rules tracking for 14 futures firms and the Pass simulator[1]. Of the four journals compared here, only Tradervue lists a free plan, which imports 30 trades a month and needs a paid plan for futures[6][7].
Which trading journals track prop firm rules?
TradeZella's PropFirm Sync tracks daily loss limits, max drawdown, profit targets and consistency rules[4], and TradeHarbor tracks the same kinds of rules from built-in presets[1]. Tradervue, Edgewonk and TraderSync don't list prop firm rule tracking on the pages we checked; Edgewonk and TraderSync track rules you set yourself[8][10].
How were these journals compared?
From each company's own pricing, feature and help pages on October 2, 2026, linked next to every fact. Where a site doesn't say, we write "Not listed". Prices and plans change, so check the source before you buy. We make TradeHarbor, so read with that in mind.
