FTMO Futures rules, explained
FTMO Futures sells 2 evaluations (Growth Evaluation and Pro Evaluation) and funded accounts (Growth Sim-Funded and Pro Sim-Funded) in 50K, 100K and 150K sizes. Below are the drawdown, daily loss limit, consistency, and payout rules for every plan, read from FTMO Futures's own help center. Check the linked source before you trade: firms change rules often.
Evaluations
The drawdown trails your highest end-of-day balance, and stops once it reaches the starting balance.
| Size | Profit target | Max drawdown | Stops trailing at | Daily loss limit | Consistency | Max minis / micros |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 50K | $3,000 | $2,000 | $50,000 (start) | — | 40% to pass | 5 / 50 |
| 100K | $6,000 | $3,500 | $100,000 (start) | — | 40% to pass | 10 / 100 |
| 150K | $9,000 | $5,000 | $150,000 (start) | — | 40% to pass | 15 / 150 |
- FTMO Futures is in beta (launched Aug 31, 2026); FTMO warns of possible bugs and platform interruptions.
- No daily loss limit during the Growth evaluation.
- If your best day is over 40% of total closed profit, you keep trading until it is 40% or less. You do not fail.
- No minimum trading days; the consistency rule makes 3 days the practical minimum.
- The target counts only with all positions closed; passes are assessed after the trading day ends.
- Flat with no resting orders by 4:10 PM ET (or the market close, if earlier). News trading is allowed.
- No opening new positions within 2% of a CME price limit.
- Monthly subscription. A breached evaluation gets a new account at the next billing date, or immediately with a reset.

Funded accounts
The drawdown trails your highest end-of-day balance, and stops once it reaches the starting balance.

|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 50K | $2,000 | $50,000 (start) | $1,000 | — | 2 / 20 |

- The daily loss limit is soft: hitting it closes positions and locks the account for the rest of the day. It is measured from the balance at the start of each trading day.
- No profit target and no consistency rule on Sim-Funded.
- Contracts scale with EOD profit above the start (50K: 2 / 3 / 5 minis at $0 / $1,000 / $2,000+; 100K: 4 / 5 / 8 / 10 at $0 / $1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000+; 150K: 6 / 8 / 10 / 12 / 15 at $0 / $1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000 / $4,500+) and step back down if profit falls.
- Qualifying days are judged on closed end-of-day P&L.
- At most 3 Sim-Funded accounts across Growth and Pro. A Sim-Funded account cannot be reset.
- Flat by 4:10 PM ET. News trading is allowed. Copying another trader and hedging across accounts are forbidden.
- 4 days with at least $150 / $250 / $300 (50K / 100K / 150K) profit since the last payout.

FTMO Futures rules: common questions
Does FTMO Futures use a trailing or static drawdown?
Every FTMO Futures plan listed here uses an end-of-day trailing drawdown. It follows your highest end-of-day balance, but is still enforced during the day.
When does the FTMO Futures drawdown stop trailing?
Growth Evaluation: trails your highest end-of-day balance, and stops once it reaches the starting balance. Pro Evaluation: trails your highest end-of-day balance, and stops once it reaches the starting balance. Pro Sim-Funded: trails your highest end-of-day balance, and stops once it reaches the starting balance.
What happens if you hit the FTMO Futures daily loss limit?
On Pro Evaluation and Pro Sim-Funded, hitting it fails the account. On the others it closes your positions and stops trading for the rest of the session without failing the account. Daily loss limits by plan: Growth Sim-Funded, $1,000 / $2,000 / $3,000 (50K / 100K / 150K); Pro Evaluation, $1,000 / $1,500 / $2,000 (50K / 100K / 150K); Pro Sim-Funded, $1,000 / $1,500 / $2,000 (50K / 100K / 150K).
