TradeZella alternative for prop firm traders

This page is for futures traders taking prop firm evaluations who use TradeZella, or are pricing it up, and want to know how TradeHarbor compares. Both journals track prop firm rules, so the real differences are price, the free plan, how trades get in, and how much else you want around the journal.

We make TradeHarbor, so read this with that in mind. Every fact about TradeZella links to TradeZella's own website, checked on October 2, 2026, and we say where TradeZella is stronger. Sources

Where TradeHarbor is different

Who should pick which

TradeZella may suit you if
  • You want trades to sync automatically from a broker TradeHarbor only reads by CSV.
  • Trade replay, long-history backtesting or AI review are part of how you study.
  • You trade a wide mix of markets, or want mentoring and education in the same app.
TradeHarbor may suit you if
  • You want a free journal for one prop account, with the rules and pass odds included.
  • You run several futures prop accounts and want unlimited accounts for $24 a month.
  • Your firm is one of the 14 we track and you'd rather not enter its rules by hand.

The free plan is the easiest test: import a few weeks of your own trades and see whether the rule tracking and pass odds earn a place in your routine. No journal makes a trader profitable on its own.

TradeZella vs TradeHarbor: common questions

Is there a free alternative to TradeZella?

TradeZella's pricing page lists three paid plans, from $35 a month, and no free plan[2]. TradeHarbor has a free plan with no time limit for one active account, with unlimited trades, CSV import, prop firm rules tracking for 14 futures firms and the Pass simulator. Pro is $24 a month or $199 a year[1].

Does TradeZella track prop firm rules?

Yes. Its PropFirm Sync dashboard tracks daily loss limits, max drawdown, profit targets, trading days and consistency rules, along with what you spend on evaluations and receive in payouts, and TradeZella says it's free for all TradeZella users[4]. TradeHarbor tracks the same kinds of rules from built-in presets, on its free plan[1].

Can either one show my odds of passing an evaluation?

TradeZella lists a beta simulator that shows pass/fail probability against challenge rules[4]. TradeHarbor's Pass simulator replays your own trading days against every evaluation it tracks and shows how often you'd have passed, busted or run out of time[1]. It describes your history, not a prediction.

How do I move my trades from TradeZella to TradeHarbor?

TradeHarbor imports CSV files. Exports from Tradovate, NinjaTrader, Rithmic R|Trader, TopstepX/ProjectX, Quantower, Sierra Chart, TradingView and Interactive Brokers are recognized automatically; any other CSV, including one from another journal if it can export one, works by matching its columns once, and TradeHarbor remembers the mapping. Duplicates are skipped, so overlapping files are safe, and every import can be undone.
